Does this sound familiar?

You're someone who has a LOT of life figured out:

You're highly effective at work...

you strive for excellence...
you're a fabulous problem solver...
And, you're very self-aware...

But your relationships feel chaotic, messy, stressful, and unfulfilling.

and you feel:

anxious

overloaded

overwhelmed

not good enough

Dysregulated

Angry

out of control

Judged

Unheard

Afraid

disconnected

Uncertain

Unclear

Frustrated

You're not alone.

many people experience outward success only to feel like things are falling apart on the inside. Our external presentation doesn't always match the inner or interpersonal turmoil. We mask up to get by, but in doing so, we neglect the authentic parts of ourselves that are yearning to be heard, seen, and acknowledged. And when we struggle to bring our whole Self into our relationships (of all kids), those relationships tend to limp along.

My passion is in helping ambitious individuals learn the internal and external skills to create and experience thriving relationships - with themselves and with others.

Why we do this work

Navigating relationship challenges, especially as an individual, can feel overwhelming. Sometimes it seems like you're doing all the work, and the other person just.... isn't. maybe they aren't "pulling their weight." Maybe they can't shift right now, or they don't know how, or they were wounded in a way that makes doing healthy relationships especially hard. Whatever their reasons might be, it actually doesn't matter (ok, I get how that sounds, but bear with me)... Because the cool thing is that you, as an individual, still have the power to influence your relationships.

we all hold responsibility for the dynamics in our relationships, and when one person starts healing and shifting, the dance changes.

Maybe, in connection, you start to notice the other person responding differently to how you're showing up. Maybe they aren't ready to shift and the relationship stalls or comes to an end. or maybe, slowly, they start to pick up what you're putting down. They start to practice their own healthier ways of interacting and relating based on what you're modeling, based on what you've learned that you're okay with, and what you've learned in your bones that you are not okay with. Maybe they chew on this, consider it, and carry this new way of relating forward into their other relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.

Your relationships improve. Their relationships improve.

And, bit by bit, the world changes.

We heal.

So many vulnerable parts of us are activated simply by being in relationship with others. And that's the beautiful thing, really. Because relationship challenges can represent some of the richest opportunities for deep, holistic healing and transformation - mind, body, and soul.

Let's talk more about what "relationship issues" can mean. You could be:

💛  Confused and wondering, “Should I stay or should I go?”
💛  Struggling to set (and stick to) healthy boundaries
💛  Shutting down or over-functioning to avoid conflict
💛  Caught in people-pleasing, perfectionism, or fear of commitment
💛  Attracting emotionally unavailable or inconsistent partners — again and again
💛  Drained and second-guessing yourself after hard conversations
💛  Feeling lonely, inadequate, ill-equipped, or disconnected — whether partnered or single
💛  Overanalyzing everything and unsure if you can trust yourself
💛  Worried about repeating past relationship mistakes or facing future regrets
💛  Publicly successful, but privately feeling stuck and ready for change

💛  Feeling disconnected from yourself and unable to trust or honor yourself

These challenges aren't just annoying, they’re costing you.

in energy, confidence, intimacy, self-trust, career focus, self-perception, productivity, wellbeing, and sometimes, even health.

If this sounds like you, you probably want more:

  • Clarity and confidence in relationships

  • Strong, guilt-free, healthy boundaries

  • Emotionally Intelligent communication

  • Self-regulation and nervous system mastery

  • Deep, aligned, fulfilling connections

  • Embodied, lasting transformation

  • Deep self-awareness and improved self-esteem

  • Healthy assertiveness

  • The ability to honor your needs without guilt

  • Freedom to let go of responsibility for other people's emotions

  • The ability to finally trust your judgment, your internal experience, your dreams, and yourself.

you don't have to keep struggling alone

I believe that we are all doing our best given the tools, information, and resources available to us right now.

With solid support, you can experience meaningful and fulfilling connections  - with yourself and others.

Offerings

Creating true healing and change often requires a holistic viewpoint. Mind, body, and spirit coalesce in you to create your unique presence, informing how you feel, how you function, and how you relate to self and others, in both seen and unseen ways.

These offerings support several interrelated dimensions of relationship health.

*Disclaimer: Therapy and coaching are separate services. Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment or therapy. Therapy is offered only in the states where I’m licensed: MA, Mi, MN, GA, TX, and CO, and only as treatment for diagnosable mental health conditions. Coaching is not appropriate for treatment of diagnosable mental health concerns.

Mountains in Clouds

The Therapy Process

The main objective of therapy is to assess and treat diagnosable mental health conditions. Therapy is right for you if you are a resident of CO, MA, MI, MN, GA, or TX and interested in participating in treatment for a diagnosable mental health concern.

Therapy is about healing past, present, and future. Individual therapy for relationship challenges (distinct from couples therapy), is about supporting you in your personal growth journey, from the inside, in order to improve how you show up outwardly in your relationships.

In therapy, we'll collaborate to determine what interventions would be most helpful for you. My therapeutic style is warm, invitational, and quite integrative, meaning I like to help you build insight by inviting self-inquiry, and I pull from a variety of modalities, as needed, and as useful. I welcome you to be involved in the process of discerning what approaches resonate most with you.

Approaches often utilized:

  • Internal Family Systems / Parts-Work (IFS-Informed)

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Mindfulness, meditation, and visualization

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Psycho-education

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Somatic (body-based) interventions

  • Complementary & Alternative Interventions (CAI)

Therapy for a diagnosable mental health concern is often covered by insurance under your in-network or out-of-network benefits, depending on your plan.

I am currently in-network with Aetna for clients who live in Texas or Massachusetts.

If you live in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, or Georgia, or if you live in Texas or Massachusetts and do not have Aetna insurance, let's check your out-of-network benefits for therapy to see if you qualify for reimbursement using your insurance plan.

The Coaching Process

Coaching is distinct from therapy in that it is not intended to treat nor appropriate for the treatment of diagnosable mental health conditions.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as:

"An ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organizations.  Throughout the process of coaching, clients deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life."

Coaching is primarily focused on creating forward momentum and movement towards your goals, as you define them. In coaching, we spend less time unpacking the past, and more time on the present and future. The coaching relationship creates a container for accountability, goals, progress, support, insight, and action.

Coaching is right for you if you do not suffer from a diagnosable mental health concern, or are not seeking therapeutic support (and/or you are receiving appropriate support or treatment elsewhere from a qualified mental health professional) for a diagnosable mental health concern. Individual coaching for relationship issues is great when you're seeking strategies, insight, motivation, clarity, and solutions to help you manage specific relationship challenges.

In the coaching capacity, my specialty is in helping you gracefully navigate difficult relationship experiences, all while identifying and staying focused on what is most important to you, and reminding you that you are worthy and capable of feeling and connecting better to yourself and others.
